Cookie policy

Last updated

This page lists every cookie and similar browser storage on vantion.co: what each one does, who sets it, how long it lasts, and whether it needs your consent. You can change your choice at any time.

01What we mean by cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work the same way for this purpose, so we list those too. Without your consent we use only what the site needs to work, and we count visits without storing anything.

02Always on

These make the site work the way you use it. They do not need consent and are never used to track you.

  • NEXT_LOCALE (Vantion). Remembers the language you read the site in when it differs from your browser's language, so the home page opens in it next time. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • vl-suggest (Vantion). Remembers that you answered the language suggestion or picked a language, so we do not ask again. 1 year.
  • vantion_guides (Vantion). Keeps the guides and templates you unlocked with your email open on this device. 1 year.
  • __ph_opt_in_out_… and vl-ads-consent (Vantion, local storage). Remember your cookie choice. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
  • __cf_bm (Cal.com, via Cloudflare). Set inside the booking calendar to protect it against bots. 30 minutes.

03Analytics, with your consent

PostHog, hosted in the EU, measures how the site is used. Before you choose, and if you decline, PostHog counts visits without cookies or browser storage. If you allow cookies:

  • ph_…_posthog (PostHog, cookie and local storage). Recognises your browser on a return visit, so we can see whether visitors come back and link a form or booking to the visit. 1 year.
  • ph_…_window_id and ph_…_primary_window_exists (PostHog, session storage). Keep a visit together across tabs, including the session recording, with form fields hidden. Deleted when you close the tab.

04Advertising, with your consent

Only on our ad landing pages (under /get). If you allow cookies, Google Ads measures which ads lead to a booked call. We do not use it for retargeting or ad personalisation.

  • _gcl_au (Google Ads). Links a booked call to the ad visit it came from. 90 days.
  • _gcl_aw (Google Ads). Stores the ad click id when you arrive from a Google ad. 90 days.

05Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or the button at the top of this page, to allow or decline cookies again. Declining stops PostHog and removes its cookie and storage. Google Ads cookies that were already set stay until they expire, unless you delete them in your browser. The site keeps working if you decline.

06More about your data

How we handle personal data, including what PostHog, Cal.com and Google Ads receive, is in our privacy policy. Questions: email hello@vantion.co.
